The property served for many years as a bakery/shop and was part of the ribbon development of farm workers' cottages along the Oude dijk. Since 1996, it has been used as a mini-camping/bed&breakfast by Clara and René van Rijn and taken over by Mark van Essen in March 2018 under the new name Kostverloren11
