De Biks or Onner Biks is also the name of a small lake west of the mill, which is connected to the mill via the watercourse De Biks. Built in 1857, the mill was completely modernised in the late 1920s with the sails and screw pumps based on the idea of millwright Dekker. The mill, which used to have an auger, now possesses two screw pumps and the volunteer miller who lives next door has the mill grinding regularly. An electric motor can also drive the pumps. The rods of the sails are 23.40 metres long and feature the Dekker system with self-swing.
