Stichting Jatrie
The aim of this foundation is to keep the ships Jatrie and Dieverdoatsie in service and to preserve them as part of our historical heritage.

The Jatrie is a vessel of the Groninger Steilsteven type. It was built in 1930 at O. de Boer's shipyard in Oude Pekela on behalf of the Davids family. Since ... (1970?), the ship is no longer in operation and had its permanent mooring in front of the skipper's house at the Streekhistorisch Centrum to preserve it for the future. To ensure that future, the Stichting Jatrie was set up to restore and eventually operate the ship for interested visitors, meetings and other activities.
