Kerk Fransum
Part of this Romanesque church was built in the first half of the thirteenth century.

Later, in the second quarter of the sixteenth century, the chancel and the west wall were added. The brick pulpit (the only one in the province) also dates from that period. In 1909, the church ceased to be used for worship. Since then, church services have been held in Den Ham. The building is managed by the ‘Vroedschap Fransum’, founded in 1971. The venue is regularly hired out for concerts and gatherings.
