Reitdiephaven

As you drive into the city along the Reitdiep, the first thing you come across is the residential area of the same name. Right in the middle of this new-build neighbourhood lies the Reitdiephaven. Over the years, this has become one of the most popular spots in the city amongst photographers. The colourful little houses by the water are lovely to capture on camera and give the harbour a wonderful atmosphere. As well as the colourful houses, there’s also a small shopping centre here where you can pick up a tasty sandwich from the bakery or some cool clothes for your children. There’s also a small marina here. You can hire boats there and then sail across the Reitdiep into the city centre. It’s a lovely place to spend some time.
