Brasserie Cafetaria de Koning van Groningen is situated in Appingedam’s historic shopping street. This cosily furnished brasserie offers every guest a wide choice from our extensive menu. You can come here for a delicious lunch, a tasty dinner or simply to enjoy a drink. The brasserie can seat 65 people indoors and around 75 people outside on the lovely terrace.
There is a small terrace at the front. Among other things, we offer the widest range of authentic Italian ice cream in Appingedam. You can also come to us for fresh soft-serve ice cream. Here, you can soak up the cosy atmosphere of Appingedam whilst enjoying a cup of coffee or cappuccino from the Beukenhorst coffee roastery.

Our city garden is the large terrace at the rear of our premises. From this terrace, you have a stunning view of the old Damsterdiep , lined with historic warehouses and unloading quays. You can relax and unwind in an enchanting atmosphere. Whilst enjoying a delicious, freshly tapped Grolsch lager or a tasty speciality beer, it’s wonderful to unwind under the trees with your feet in the lovely green grass.
On the terrace, you can of course also choose from our menu. Why not try our deliciously marinated spare ribs or one of our award-winning satays? Your children will also love our garden, because here, there are no ‘musts’ – just lots of ‘can’s’. They can also have a great time in our indoor children’s corner.
