In 1989, an application was made for a demolition permit for the church, which was (fortunately) refused. Inside, there are beautiful melon-shaped domed vaults. During a restoration of the church in the 1990s, medieval vault paintings were discovered. These include, amongst other things, two fighting horsemen and a battle between a panther and a dragon. The organ was built in 1902 by P. van Oeckelen and Sons.
