Museum Het Behouden Blik

Museum Het Behouden Blik is a small and special museum. Here you get a glimpse into the kitchen of Dutch society through a large collection of Dutch decorative packaging tin.

In one of the smallest museums in the Northern Netherlands, you will find a wide variety of tins and curiosities from the period 1880-1980. You will see well-known brands such as De Gruyter, Douwe Egberts, Van Nelle, Van Houten, Broekema, Verkade, Niemeijer, Tiktak and many more. This will give you a glimpse into the kitchen of Dutch society. Come and be surprised by the look of recognition and see how society has changed, or not changed at all. The museum is open year-round on Thursdays. On all other days, the museum can be visited for both individual and group visits by appointment only.
