Schakelstation
This Schakelstation was designed in 1936 by Ingenieur. J.H. Timmer by order of the Provincial Electricity Company of Groningen. Construction contractor was R. Bloem from Wildervank.
The building is built in a style akin to Cubist-Expressionism. It consists of a two-storey volume. One is elongated, the other is built against it. The schakelstation is located on the Ommelanderdiep.
