Brussels Lof

Cheese, vegetables, fish, crustaceans and shellfish, fresh, pure, simple, vegetarian, vegan, seasonal and organic. That makes Brussels Lof a unique restaurant in the city center of Groningen.

The cuisine at Brussels Lof is dominated by vegetables and cheese, and cheese fondue has been on the menu for almost forty years. But in addition to vegetables and cheese, chef Bob also uses a lot of fish. And everything is fresh and pure. 

The vegetables often come from the vegetable garden, where gardener Arjen maintains one hectare of land. Everything he grows is organic. There is a large greenhouse in the vegetable garden, so that he can grow all year round. In addition, there is also a large garden full of edible flowers, where chef Bob picks flowers and collects honey through a number of beehives.

The fish that chef Bob uses usually comes from the North Sea, caught by fishermen on smaller boats. At Brussels Lof, they have close contact with a number of fish buyers, so that we can be sure that we always receive fresh fish. Bob also travels a lot himself. In the woods or on the Wad, looking for fresh plants, flowers and mushrooms that he uses in his dishes. 

Of course good wine should not be missed with all the delicious things they serve in the restaurant. With a wide range of organic wines and natural wines without sulphite from small wineries, there is always a combination to make with your dish.
