Voormalig bankgebouw Vismarkt
It can be seen directly from the facade: once this stately building housed a bank. It was built in 1923-1924 to a design by Groningen architects Kuiler & Drewes.

The building consists of a basement with three storeys. The heavy wooden doors are decorated with ironwork and are enclosed on either side by two half-columns. What is striking is that the decorative elements on the building refer to Egyptian and Assyrian architecture.
