't Pannekoekschip

In the cosy centre of Groningen lies 't Pannekoekschip, an originally rigged two-masted sailing clipper, built in 1908 at the famous shipyard of Wed. v. Duyvendijk in Lekkerkerk.

Take a closer look

At 43 metres long and with its proud 23-metre-high masts, the "Change" is one of the largest clippers ever built in the Netherlands.
With its mighty swords and beautiful foliage on the bow, it now lies flaunting its 350-tonne hold on the cosy Schuitendiep in Groningen after 80 years of faithful service as a sailing ship, an atmospheric pancake restaurant.

Whether you are in the hold, in the bow, at the daggerboard, starboard, in the engine room or amidships, everywhere you feel the typical atmosphere of a sailing ship. Especially in the engine room, it is as if you can still hear the impressive engine, which is one of the first Deutz VM diesel engines, built in 1928.
