Rustpunt Kop d'r veur
Between Wittewierum and Garrelsweer lies the Hoeksmeer Area. A nature reserve where birds can hatch their eggs undisturbed in summer and let their chicks grow until they have fledged.
In winter, thousands of geese can be found here to hibernate. The land belongs to Natuurmonumenten and is managed by several farmers. Our rustpunt Kop d'r Veur is adjacent to this area.
In Nov 2012, the farm (with the resting point) on the Medenweg was added to an existing livestock farm.The area gives us the opportunity to be able to carry out agricultural nature management alongside economic farming and let this run hand in hand.
We would like you to enjoy this with us. The peace and quiet, the space and perhaps a guided look at the cows. Enjoy what is going on around us, while enjoying a cup of coffee/tea and the occasional chat.
