Allersmaborg
To the north-east of the village of Ezinge lies the small region of Allersma. Here stands the Allersmaborg, built in the fifteenth century. The manor is surrounded by a wide moat with a drawbridge and timber revetments.

The manor also features an 18th-century dovecote. The south wing is the oldest part of the manor. It also has two further wings: a north wing built in the 16th century and an east wing dating from 1720. In 1817, a second storey was added to the east wing. The Allersmaborg was inhabited until 2004, after which the University of Groningen was granted a long-term lease on the building. The manor house has been refurbished to serve as a meeting centre for the university’s alumni. Today, the Allersmaborg is a suitable venue for gatherings. Weddings can also be held there.
