Whether you come for a day with friends, a company outing, a family party or on your own. At openluchtmuseum Het Hoogeland you will experience the past. On the highest point of the Warffum mound you will find the museum grounds with ten houses, two school buildings and a stable. Most of the buildings in the open-air museum are still where they always stood and give you an idea of everyday life around 1900.
After your visit to the Open Air Museum, you can relax in the museum café Het Spijslokaal. The atmospheric restaurant is located in the Open Air Museum's old custodial school. Enjoy a delicious slice of Groningen cake in the terrace garden.
A tourist information point (TIP) can be found in the museum entrance.

- The museum is closed on 25, 26 and 31 December and 1 January.
Adjusted summer opening hours: On Sundays and public holidays, opening hours are from 1pm to 5pm.
