The marina is situated at a junction of waterways; from the Hunzegat, you can head in any direction, such as the Zoutkamperril, the Reitdiep, the Hunsingokanaal and the Lauwers. National park Lauwersmeer is just a stone’s throw away, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Wadden Sea, can be reached by passing through the Robbengat lock. The Hunzegat was constructed following the closure of the Lauwerszee and has therefore been in existence for over 50 years! In addition to the marina with visitor berths, there is a diesel filling station and a well-stocked water sports shop with a bottled gas depot. In the mast-making workshop, glued wooden masts are produced during the autumn and winter seasons, but you can also come here for other woodwork.
