Wongema
Wongema is an inn in Hornhuizen where you can sleep, eat, do nothing or work. Alone or with a group. For as long or short a time as you like. We are open at least on Saturdays and Sundays from 10-17 hrs, the hotel is always open. You can find opening hours and programming on our website.

Location
A few years back, the impoverished village pub opposite the church in Hornhuizen was due to be demolished. A shame - thought Erik Wong - and he prevented it from happening. He refurbished the building, rented it and turned it into a workshop for doers and thinkers. From all over the Netherlands, people come to Hornhuizen to further develop their creative talent.
2 years ago, Wongema was taken over by an association of people from the neighbourhood (and the rest of the Netherlands) to ensure that this place can continue to exist. And it succeeded!

At Wongema, you can stay overnight in addition to working. Wongema is made for groups of workers, but also has a soft spot for truants. A weekend away with friends? Family day? Everyone is welcome. And then Wongema is also a village pub with its own programming: music, film, food, party. All that in the Groningen nothingness near the Wadden Sea. At Wongema everything is possible, can't is not possible.
