Bourtange Reformed Church
In the middle of the special historic fort Bourtange stands the church, a place where centuries of history and living faith come together.
As you stroll through the narrow streets and past the old ramparts, this familiar building suddenly comes into view – a landmark for residents and visitors alike. Our church tells stories of the past, yet is also a place of the present: a haven of tranquillity, prayer, fellowship and togetherness. Here, music is played, joyful moments are celebrated and difficult times are shared. In this way, the church is not only part of de fort, but also at the heart of the community.
