In the morning, you can enjoy watching geese flying overhead, the call of a bird of prey (living in the copse next door) and the cheerful clucking of the chickens in the yard. You can enjoy the grapes you can pick in the conservatory. Our garden is home to pears, plums and cherries, which you’re welcome to help yourself to. Fancy a fresh egg for breakfast? You’ll find them in a special cupboard in the yard. From the garden, you can walk straight out into the countryside and up onto the dyke, where there’s a jetty. In short, it’s a place to completely unwind. The 200 ha Reiderwolde nature reserve is within walking distance. There are also wonderful cycle routes and a cycle ferry just round the corner. You’re a 15-minute drive from the German border. Winschoten (10 minutes) and Groningen (30 minutes) have plenty to offer in terms of shops and restaurants. For cyclists, walkers and anyone who loves water and peace and quiet, this is the ideal spot. During your stay, you can make free use of windsurf boards, a SUP board and a canoe. There are also two bikes available.
