The tarts proved so popular that, in early 2014, a neighbouring premises was taken into use to expand the range to include, amongst other things, gluten-free and sugar-free tarts, alongside sweet and savoury tarts, chocolates and ice cream. Lunches are served in a beautiful, fully restored building dating from 1630. The stained-glass windows, with their many colours, cast a cheerful, colourful pattern on the floor and tables when the sun is shining. Elmer's décor has a slightly rustic feel, featuring natural materials, and many guests find the atmosphere homely. As well as a homely feel, Elmer's places great importance on sustainability, inclusion and conviviality.
