Smit Sport
Smit Sport was founded in 1957 and once started on the Oude Schans. After another move to Markstraat, Smit Sport settled on Willemstraat, where the shop has been for more than 50 years. Last spring, Smit Sport moved again, to make way for the municipality's "living with a Plus" project. This did not go without a hitch, but now the new premises have been open since April at 44 Landstraat.
The new shop has a retail area of 400 square metres and is compact and uncluttered. The shop has been given a sporty, sleek house style and the new logo proudly adorns the facade. The owners Henk and Gea Smit are therefore very happy with the result, a true moment of happiness.

Smit Sport

Collection
Besides a new shop, Smitsport now has new brands in footwear and apparel, mainly in the hiking and outdoor segment. The rest of the collection is as you would expect from Smit Sport; trainers, football, hockey, tennis, running, fitness, functional, sportswear and comfort shoes.
& Shoes
To meet an ever-growing need, Smit Sport has now included Comfort shoes in its range. Now you might think comfort shoes are old-fashioned and stiff shoes, but that is no longer the case. Today's comfort shoes have a modern look and combine well with sporty and neat clothing styles. Many comfort shoes are ideal for everyday wear, as they correct the feet well and provide optimal support. These easy shoes are ideal for difficult or painful feet and almost all have a removable footbed, making them wearable with orthotics.
Much of the comfort shoe range is available in both regular and wide lasts. Thanks to the diverse range and the Feetbox (foot scan), a suitable pair can almost always be supplied. Stel Orthopaedics also visits the shop once a month to give specialised advice.
