Standerdmolen
In Ter Haar, near Ter Apel, stands the only original standerdmolen in the province of Groningen.
The mill was most likely built in Bourtange around 1619 and was dismantled there in 1831, only to be rebuilt in Ter Haar in 1832 for Frederik Maarsingh. Over the years, the mill has been restored on several occasions. The last major restoration took place in 1986. During this work, many parts were replaced, but the mill was restored to working order as a grain and husking mill.
