Mill De Palen
Poldermolen De Palen is a reed-covered octagonal ground-sailor on field walls, with a thatched cap. Both rods are self-swinging with windboards and have a flight of 16.20 metres. The mill is equipped with a screw and drained the polder De Palen (118 ha), established in 1876.

The mill was built in its current location in 1882, it previously stood 500 m south-southeast in the polder (built in 1876, built by H. Klippus, contractor in Bedum). Relocation was necessary due to the construction of the Groningen-Delfzijl railway line. In 1951, the mill stood with one rod and had a 7 hp electric motor. A demolition permit was granted on 22 September 1964, but the mill was not demolished and passed into the ownership of the Molenstichting Hunsingo e.o. It was restored between 1991 and 1992, after a 40-year standstill. New rods were staked in February 1992.
