Muurschildering Wietse

In the heart of Oosterpark – the park after which the surrounding neighbourhood is named – stands the Oosterpark Youth Centre building, nestled amongst the greenery. Thanks in part to the Belgian artist Wietse, the building is now impossible to miss. He has transformed it into a veritable bird paradise. These birds have now made the park their permanent home.
Street Art Festival Groningen
This piece was created during the first Street Art Festival Groningen, which took place in 2023 in the city’s Oosterpark . During the festival, Writer’s Block and the City of Groningen added a total of seven new works to the neighbourhood.
