Off the beaten track, you’ll find a shop selling Japanese tea, rice wine, yukatas (summer kimonos), Japanese ceramics, handcrafted cast-iron teapots, furoshiki (Japanese wrapping cloths), Japanese ‘gadgets’, literature and a small selection of Japanese ingredients for cooking. In addition, workshops, talks and tastings relating to Japanese culture are organised, such as a ‘Shodo’ Japanese calligraphy workshop or a tea tasting. Via the online shop, you can sign up for the newsletter or follow them on Facebook and Instagram (batsu_shop).
