The house is very quietly set back in a dead-end street and ideally suited for those seeking peace and quiet and space, who also like luxury and convenience. From early spring to late autumn, it is always pleasant to "live outdoors" in our greenhouse.

Nature and environment
Beautifully situated on the Reitdiep and the Kromme Raken, between Groot Maarslag, Schaphalsterzijl and Schouwen, lies Schouwerzijl. With over 90 inhabitants, it is a small, friendly village on the Hogeland of Groningen. With a harbour, a side-lock, a village vegetable garden and orchard, a landing stage for passers-by, a playground and a swimming raft. But above all, with plenty of peace, space and views. You are in the middle of an ideal cycling, sailing and walking area. The Pieterpad runs practically alongside. Be surprised by old Groningen villages and their centuries-old churches built on mounds. Nearby are Winsum, the Houwerzijl de Theefabriek and the fishing village of Zoutkamp, among others. The borg Verhildersum in Leens is also worth a visit. National Park Lauwersmeer is a paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers. And a day on Schiermonnikoog, a trip with the Reitdiepveer, a mudflat hiking trip from Pieterburen or a visit to the bustling city of Groningen are highly recommended.
