History
Herberg In de Valk has a rich history. The main house and the taproom date back to 1630. The barn and passageway with upper room and wooden barrel vaulting follow in the 18th and 19th centuries. Guests arrive by coach, draught barge or snikke in harbour De Kolk (filled in around 1955). Here they refresh themselves with drinks, food and a warm bedstead.
The old harbour has since been filled in and there are no more horses and carriages in the passageway of the inn. Yet Herberg In de Valk is still a stopping place with the ambiance of yesteryear. For our surprise dinner or a cosy drink with bite, a party or meeting. Or for lunch or a cup of coffee with homemade cake.

Surprise menu
Room(s) for Taste & Experience takes you through the inn to surprising amuses and dishes. There is no menu. Every 2 months there is a new surprise menu.* We are happy to serve you a matching wine with each dish. However, this wine arrangement is optional. Weather permitting, we serve dinner on our terrace, of course. The concept is full of flavour and experience and can accommodate a maximum of 12 people per starter. (* For vegetarians, we prepare this menu without meat and fish).
