De Hugt is located just outside the village of Ulrum in Groningen, near the Lauwersmeer National Park. De Hugt is situated in a beautiful location with wide views over the farmlands. You can enjoy the peace and quiet that reigns there and if you're lucky a few deer passing by.

The spacious rooms, each with a large bathroom, are situated in a barn that is over a hundred years old, where all the original wooden features are still visible, including the unique thatched ceiling.
The rooms are fully equipped, with a seating area in the bedroom and spacious beds.

Nearby, you can visit several museums, go for a walk on the salt marshes or in National Park Lauwersmeer. Cycling is wonderful here, and in the evening you can stargaze. We’re right next to the Dark Sky Park. If you’d like to go mudflat walking, be sure to book well in advance. The city of Groningen is half an hour’s drive away, and Schiermonnikoog is just 45 minutes away by boat. The boat departs from a location just a 15-minute drive away.
