Muurschildering Dick Nanniga

In the heart of the Oosterpark, near the old Oosterpark stadium, a footballer is depicted on the Ripperdahuis. It is the footballer Dick Nanniga – the only Dutchman ever to score in a World Cup final. Nanniga never played for FC Groningen or its predecessor GVAV, but he did grow up in the Oosterpark neighbourhood and played for the amateur club the Oosterparkers for many years. Reason enough to honour this local football legend with a mural. The artwork was created by Jack Lack.
