Sterrebos
Northwest of the Helpman district lies an almost square park: the Sterrebos. In 1765, this park was laid out by city gardener Jan Godfried Becker on behalf of then-mayor Hendrik van Sijsen.

The name Sterrebos is derived from the shape the park had at the time: eight paths ran in different directions from a central point. Between 1882 and 1883, the forest was extended on the south side and the park took on a look more reminiscent of the English landscape style, with winding paths, hills and a pond. The construction of the southern bypass divided the Sterrbos into two sections in 1964. A northern (rather small) part and a southern part. This southern part still contains the Tea Dome that had been built there in 1818, although it did move to the edge of the forest.
