The Tovereye in the Crudehof

The Middle Ages Oldambt

Come to De Middeleeuwen Oldambt for medieval events, medieval meals, workshops, books and lectures. With us, everything revolves around the Middle Ages.

We organise (medieval) events in cooperation with De Cleyne Hortus and regularly publish a newsletter. In it you can read all sorts of interesting facts and (background) information. Also about everything we do together.

You can enjoy a five-course medieval meal with a group of 4 to 10 people in a homely atmosphere during the months of November, December, January and February each year. Have a seat at an attractively laid table with medieval glass and pottery and hear all kinds of interesting facts about the Middle Ages, food and table customs, and enjoy beautiful medieval music during the meal.

We also sell books on the Middle Ages that we publish ourselves. The books provide a wealth of information, are easily accessible and describe a wide range of topics.

Take part in our inspiring workshops. You will learn about medicinal plants and forgotten vegetables, but also, for example, about everyday medieval life. Learn how people cooked, pickled fruit and vegetables or prepared salves and tinctures. Depending on the type of workshop, you will work with these things yourself.
