Tschumipaviljoen
In 1990, the Groninger Museum Museum organised the event 'What a Wonderful World'. Five architects were asked to design a pavilion in which video clips would be shown during the event.

The pavilions were designed for various locations across the city. Two of the pavilions still stand there today: Rem Koolhaas’s bus stop on Emmaplein and this pavilion on Hereplein, which was designed by Bernard Tschumi. The pavilion consists of an elongated structure made of glass and steel. It is set on a concrete foundation, which causes it to lean significantly: on one side, the pavilion rises more than two metres above the ground. The glass structure incorporates perpendicular walls, dividing the space into five sections. Since 1995, the Tschumipaviljoen has been managed by the Tschumipaviljoen Foundation. Artists’ projects are regularly staged there, with an emphasis on work that utilises modern media.
