Fruitbedrijf Bosschaart
Noordbroek is home to the Fruitbedrijf Bosschaart. Here, they grow various types of fruit and process them into a range of products. You can buy these in the shop at the farm. It’s also possible to spend the night here in a special setting.
After spending some time in Utrecht, Gerrit and Cornelia Bosschaart have run an orchard in Noordbroek since 1999. On their land, they grow apples, pears, plums and cherries. These are sold in the farm shop on the premises. They also sell delicious fruit juices and other local produce here. They use their fruit to make jams and chutneys, amongst other things, and under the name ‘Grunneger Heerlyckheid’ they also market other products such as authentic Groningen poffertjes in a Weck jar. So there’s plenty of tasty treats to be had! Fancy a truly unique experience? Then you can also stay overnight at Bosschaart. Right in the middle of the orchard, there’s a small farm campsite equipped with all the mod cons. You’ll spend the night amongst the trees that produced the plums for your jam – isn’t that brilliant?
