As Thuus
Since July 2024, Als Thuus has been a protected living location of the Phusis Foundation in Bourtange, where seven residents have a safe and quiet place. We, Michel Oldenburger (work coordinator) and Harriette Grave (care coordinator), are the managing couple here.
At Als Thuus, it's all about ordinary life: living, daytime activities and together creating a place where everyone feels at home. This can mean participating in garden maintenance, day care, work or just doing nothing. Structure, regularity and meaning are important for our residents and for our team.
We are proud of what we have built together. Besides the residential location, we also manage a Rest Point/teahouse, where visitors are welcome to take a break. In the future, we also want to further develop and open the camping site.
