De Halszaak Marum
Marum in the Westerkwartier. In the typical coulisse landscape, tucked between the wooded belts, lies the landscape garden of bead artist Gonny Visscher.
A winding path leads visitors through the garden, past a boxwood courtyard with colourful plants, to the centrally located pond set within the manicured lawn. Gonny describes her garden as an English through-view garden, due to the many vistas of the surrounding landscape. The garden is home to the De Halszaak studio, where beads from all over the world – in every colour and made from a wide variety of materials, both antique and new – are crafted into distinctive necklaces, each one unique. Every first Sunday of the month during the Open Studio Route from 12 noon to 5 pm (except July and August). By appointment: 0594 643420
