Kerk Garnwerd
The church was built at the end of the 13th century. The south wall still features an original low window with old stained-glass panes. After a previous tower collapsed in 1738, the present tower was built in 1751.

The tower features a weather vane bearing the ‘Lewe’ coat of arms. The church contains well-preserved furnishings, including a pulpit from the first half of the eighteenth century, an eighteenth-century gentlemen’s pew and nineteenth-century pews. The communion table, dating from the second quarter of the 18th century, may have originated from the manor house at Aduard. The organ was built in 1809 by Lambertus van Dam and enlarged by his sons in 1834.
