Natuurgebied Curringherveld

In 1997, Curringherveld was acquired by Staatsbosbeheer. Together with the residents of Kornhorn, a plan was then made for a multifunctional area, after which the area was laid out in such a way that history came back to life.

The nature reserve includes alder sedges, wetlands, flowery fields and various art objects. Around Curringerveld are several walking and cycling paths. When the area was completed, Staatsbosbeheer returned Curringherveld to the village in 2001. The area is managed by 40 volunteers from Kornhorn.
