Typografengasthuis
The typografengasthuis was founded in 1903 at the behest of the Groninger Booksellers College. One of the main reasons was that it was a good way to invest the foundation's capital.
Take a closer look
The houses were occupied by members of the foundation until 1972. After that, the houses were sold to private individuals. In 1995, the guest house was designated a national monument. On the 100th anniversary of the guest house in 2003, Rutger Kopland wrote the poem 'Hof'. The poem was set in bluestone and installed in the pavement near the courtyard complex.
