Location
When you drive into Den Horn via the Weersterweg from Hoogkerk, you’ll soon come across the village’s Reformed church. This small red-brick hall church was built in 1862, as indicated on the plaque above the entrance. That same plaque also lists the names of the church wardens, the minister and the schoolteacher. Virtually the entire interior of the church remains in its original state; only the wooden barrel vault was replaced with a plasterboard vault during the restoration in 2010. No services have been held in the church since 1981. The Friends of Den Horn Church Foundation organises various activities, including exhibitions and musical events.
