Adriaan Tripbos
The Adriaan Tripbos offers a wonderful nature experience. The forest contains young deciduous forest, a moorland, a (swimming) lake and a viewing hump with great views. Dogs can run free in the northern part. Horse riding is allowed almost everywhere and parts of the forest are wheelchair accessible.

Young and old can enjoy the beautiful nature in the Adriaan Tripbos. The forest lies on a sandy plain and was created in 1994 for the residents of Sappemeer and the surrounding area. The vast majority of the forest consists of young deciduous forest, where many plants and animals can be found. There is a small heather field, a (swimming) lake and a viewing hump from where you have a great view. In the ditches running through the area, the floating water plantain, among others, can be found.

The northern part of the Adriaan Tripbos is designated by the Forestry Commission as a dog walking area. It is a popular place for dog owners from the area, where you can also go for a slightly longer walk if necessary. You can ride your horse almost everywhere. The Adriaan Tripbos is partly accessible for wheelchair users. You can park in Sappemeer at De Vosholen on the corner with Tripcompagniesterweg or on the east side of the forest on the corner of Tripcompagniesterweg and Daaleweg.
