“The secret to growing asparagus? It’s all about love!” says Anton Grol. His father started growing asparagus twenty-seven years ago because it was a difficult time for the farming industry. “You can grow asparagus really well here on the sandy soil – that was something new. It turned out to be a huge success; every year, people find their way back to us because the asparagus here is super fresh!” The asparagus is well looked after. “At night, we cover them with a damp tea towel, and only the very best asparagus is sold. All our staff know exactly how to handle asparagus and can give you tips on how to cook it.”
