VANhetWAD's WadExpeditions are developed from the idea that everyone should be able to enjoy the Wadden area. But in such a way that the Wadden area is not unnecessarily burdened. We moor at the ferry dam more often than dropping participants off close to resting areas for birds, for example. We also prefer to avoid sailing along sandbanks where seals rest during low tide. We believe that seals will look for us if they want to see us. And believe us, there is always a curious seal that does so at an appropriate distance.

We take small groups of participants and teach them to actively look at the Wadden area. Then you see and hear so much more. Birds, seals, porpoises and the history of the Wadden. By working with small groups, we have time for our participants. Time to give tailor-made explanations about the Wadden Sea. So we switch easily from comprehensible explanations for the youngest participants to more complex information about the Wadden Sea for adult participants.
