't Zielhoes
Noordpolderzijl's former sluiswachterswoning, located at the foot of the sea dyke, has long housed the nostalgic brown café 't Zielhoes.
Take a closer look
After a brisk walk along the dyke, a ramble across the salt marshes and mud flats or a visit to the small port of Noordpolderzijl, this is the place to be. For example, outside on the cosy terrace with a cup of coffee and cake. On colder, bleak days you can sit inside. Old-fashioned cosiness by the warm pot-bellied stove with a glass of 'kwast', mulled wine or hot chocolate with whipped cream. Or go for a portion of bitterballen. Always good.
