Restaurant Groen is situated on the border between town and countryside. Our mission is to provide guests with a sustainable experience and to make exceptional comfort accessible to everyone. Friendly service with a surprising twist, yet always familiar. Our restaurant in Hoogkerk symbolises the beautiful natural surroundings in which the hotel is situated. Just a stone’s throw away lies the De Onlanden nature reserve. This stream valley landscape consists of copses, hedgerows, rugged grasslands and ditches where water violets and marsh marigolds bloom. The area is undergoing rapid development.

As well as the natural surroundings, ‘green’ also refers to the fresh, pure and wholesome produce we use in our restaurant in Groningen. We are proud to hold the 100% climate-neutral certification and make a conscious effort to invest in the environment, to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come. For example, we have replaced our linen napkins with 100% biodegradable bamboo napkins, and we serve extra side dishes with our main courses only on request to reduce food waste.
