‘Wadapartja’ simply means: ‘How unusual, indeed.’ That’s what a Groninger would exclaim when walking into a place or seeing something they can’t quite put their finger on straight away – something out of the ordinary. And that’s exactly what we are! You’re welcome to visit our second branch at the Westerhaven at any time of day. We serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, homemade cakes and tasty snacks to go with your drinks.
If you’d like to come for drinks or dinner with a group, we can also host private events in the evenings. Please get in touch with us to arrange this. We have a tap serving the local Bax Kon Minder Blond and a rotating tap.

Here at Westerhaven, we also believe it’s important that you know what you’re eating. That’s why we use ‘Beter Leven’ chicken and eggs, ‘Porc d’or’ pork and Groningen pasture-raised beef. We also work with a good number of local suppliers, such as Bax beers, biodynamic vegetables from the Eemstuin, speciality coffee from Koffiestation and sustainable Groningen bread from Luuk the baker. Local doesn’t have to be far away, and that saves a lot of food miles. Wadapartja is the place where you come together, where you’re inspired, where you experience things and where you’re part of it in your own way. Everyone’s welcome!
