Hotel Faber

Hotel Faber has been a household name in Hoogezand for 120 years and has a rich history. What never changed is the hospitality, today with Frank Faber as hotelier and host.

Take a closer look

Hotel Faber began in 1726 as an inn, later Posthuis and Regthuis, where the innkeeper was also a jailer. Since 1901, the Faber family has been in charge. There were stage performances and famous artists, films, fairs and, of course, businessmen passing through.

"What people really need to know about us? That we have really good cuisine!" Frank Faber is proud of his restaurant. "Our cuisine is 'honest and delicious' and the chefs cook fresh according to the season. People sometimes think that eating in a hotel is very expensive, but the opposite is true. Fortunately, many (local) guests already know how to find us."

Besides an attractive grand café and restaurant, there is also a comfortable terrace. Order the homemade apple cake with fresh whipped cream there, for example. "We are known for that, guests even drive over for it!"

At Hotel-Restaurant Faber, you can stay overnight in comfortable hotel rooms. The hotel has several rooms for hosting a (family) party, anniversary, dinner, buffets, high tea, high wine or even a walking dinner. During your party, staff will walk around with various small plate dishes. All rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped with equipment and a piano. The large Faber Room, with its stage and dance floor, is very suitable for larger groups. Feel free to ask about the many possibilities.

This location is part of the walking routes "In the footsteps of Aletta Jacobs" and From Faber to the lock.
