Hotel Faber has been a household name in Hoogezand for 120 years and boasts a rich history. What has never changed is its hospitality, with Frank Faber now serving as hotelier and host.

Hotel Faber began in 1726 as an inn, later serving as a post office and magistrate’s court, where the innkeeper also acted as jailer. The Faber family has been at the helm since 1901. There were theatre performances and famous artists, films, funfairs and, of course, business travellers passing through.
“What do people really need to know about us? That we have excellent cuisine!” Frank Faber is proud of his restaurant. “Our cuisine is ‘honest and delicious’, and our chefs cook with fresh, seasonal ingredients. People sometimes think that eating in a hotel is very expensive, but the opposite is true. Fortunately, many (local) guests already know where to find us.”
As well as an atmospheric grand café and restaurant, there is also a cosy terrace. Why not order the homemade apple tart with fresh whipped cream there? “That’s what we’re known for – guests even drive out of their way for it!”

At Hotel-Restaurant Faber, you can stay in comfortable hotel rooms. The hotel has several function rooms suitable for hosting a (family) party, anniversary, dinner, buffet, high tea, high wine or even a walking dinner. During your event, the staff will circulate with a variety of small-plate dishes. All function rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped with audio-visual equipment and a piano.
