The polder and the surrounding farmland are unique in the Netherlands. In spring, seals with their pups can be seen at the nearby Punt van Reide . And the brackish water area inside the dykes is an oasis for resting geese, ducks, black-headed gulls, plovers, spoonbills and avocets, amongst others. In short, an unforgettable experience for any nature and bird lover!
