Metaal Atelier Boombaard
On a journey of discovery... The garden is at the service of the objects Arthur Ros creates in his workshop and is taking more and more shape. Reuse is a sacred word.

Location
Where the garden is now, there were old sheds that Arthur demolished, but from which almost every stone was given a new purpose, in paving, planter, but also in stacking walls that will again form a biotope for insects, plants and mosses. Moreover, the garden should be a flowery paradise for birds and butterflies.
Besides artworks such as those described in the right-hand column, there are also dragonflies, birds and butterflies, sometimes attached to a man-sized mobile. Abstract objects with glass chunks that catch the sunlight. Practical constructions such as rose arches, tunnels, arbours and other supporting structures for plants. Also fire bowls, wood baskets and garden tables.
This year, Arthur is focusing on flower figures with interesting leaf shapes, combined with glass chunks. We can also expect 'garden paintings'; a frame containing a creation made of glass and metal. So lots of new work!

Metaal Atelier Boombaard is an artist's garden; it features the work of metalworker/artist Arthur Ros.
Impressive are the huge objects based on the Platonic bodies first described by the Greek philosopher Plato (472-347 BC). With the 'geodesic structure', a curved shape is approximated by planes. The smaller those planes the better the shape. This creates beautiful spheres, an ornament in itself, but also, for example, a spherical canopy under which a seat fits.
