Harkema Hoeve
A park-like setting with a small church and a tea house.
Location
The church was built by Albert Harkema. He was originally a dairy farmer, but designed and built a church and a tea house entirely by himself. It is a lovely site with plenty of greenery and geese. The whole complex is situated on a cycle route and is visited by many people every year. From 1 September 2026, the tea house will be open from Thursday to Sunday from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm, except on rainy days. The season runs from 1 April to 1 October. Furthermore, the little church is open every first Sunday of the month from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm and during the tea house’s opening hours.
