The harbour is situated on the ‘standing mast route’ from Delfzijl, via the city of Groningen to Friesland and the Lauwersmeer and Wadden Sea regions. The colourful buildings surrounding the harbour make this modern marina a special place. As well as being a stopover harbour, it is also a very attractive home port for motor cruisers, sailing yachts and sloops. The marina has excellent sanitary facilities, a diesel filling station, Wi-Fi and a bike and sloop hire service. Supermarkets, lovely shops and the ‘Wereldrestaurant’ make the marina a very attractive and cosy place. The city centre, with its museums, theatres and cinemas, is easily accessible.
